|
This course is mainly aimed at people aged under 21, that would like to obtain their motorbike licence. This is also a popular course for ladies as test is taken on a bike with a smaller engine than the bike used for the Direct Access Course. The duration of the course can be tailored to the individuals personal needs. Before taking this course, you need to have with you -
2009 New Motorcycle Test
What will the test include?
On the day of your module 1 test, you will be asked by the examiner to demonstrate your riding ability on either the left-hand or right-hand circuit. The standard off-road layout may change because of local conditions on the casual sites.
During your training, an instructor will teach you how to carry out the different manoevres that you will need to do during your test. These manoevres include -
Your instructor will also go through the motorcycle safety questions with you, to give you the best possible chances of passing. When you have passed you STT test, you are then restricted for 2 years to ride any bike, as long as it is restricted to 33bhp (25kW) or lower. After your two year restriction, you are then entitled to ride a bike of any size/power. If you turn 21 years old during your 2 year restriction and decide you want to take off your restriction you can take an accelerated access course and another test (on a 500cc bike) to remove the restriction (see DAS - Direct Access Scheme).
All motorcycle training can be booked through our staff at The licence centre, we act purely as a booking agent and any training will be carried out by TLC Motorcycle Training and Budget Bikng, see our contact list for full information on TLC Motorcycle Training and Budget Biking. |
